Some recent changes for your consideration:

  1. The design has become Accessibility-Forward & Mobile-First.
  2. Site information has been re-written countless times to better streamline information delivery.
  3. The production server’s uptime has passed 35 continuous days without so much as a hiccup.

…And What It All Means

Accessibility-Forward is the craft of proactively designing a website or digital document to ensure usability for everybody. This includes four key principles: Perceptible, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR, if you will). These four key principles allow the information on this site to be translated to screen readers, braille output, and whatever other devices accommodate users. Since this code doesn’t affect visuals, it is often an after-thought in development.

Mobile-First Design is the strategy of designing a site for the smallest screens first before scaling up to the Desktop. Mobile browsing is far more prevalent today. A modern Site should reflect that for better Search Engine indexing.

Rewriting the Site information is our way of offering concise, easy to find information while avoiding a sea of text. Another approach for streamlining the delivery of information is through the creation of more components to express data, and less pages to redirect and disorient the user.

Solid uptime reflects a stable product. The truth of my security logs is that hackers from all over the world are constantly looking for easy targets. By keeping a secure configuration and reducing unnecessary code and services, I have reduced any “attack vector” a hacker could use to compromise Sites created by Huxley Innovations. The obvious benefit is that Your Site remains available at all times with minimal downtime.
